Swavesey Squash Club is pleased to be launching its junior programme!
Starting 25th September, junior sessions will be running weekly on Saturday mornings, 10:45-12:15.
The cost for members will be £50 for 10 sessions; non-members will be charged £55. The first session will be an introductory taster.
These sessions will be for children aged 6-15; places will be limited. No experience is required and rackets and balls will be provided.
The sessions will be about having fun, developing hand-eye co-ordination and movement skills, and developing squash technique.
We are pleased to announce that the sessions will be led by David Silk, who has over three decades of experience coaching junior squash in clubs and schools.
Please be in touch for more details and to reserve your place!
This session is aimed at those just starting in the sport aged 4-9. This is a fun session where children can learn general coordination skills and begin to learn how to start short rallies.
These sessions give the skills to be able to move from being able to hold a short rally through to being able to play a competitive game. We look at technique, movement, shot selection, rules of the game and fitness. Part of this session every week is dedicated to competitive games. This group is split depending on ability to ensure the players can progress their skills.
